SPAR Ramadan Lifestyle Expo Competition

Terms & Conditions

  1. The competition is hosted by Al Baraka Bank Limited (Registration Number: 1989/003295/06), a registered bank in the Republic of South Africa, with its registered address at 2 Kingsmead Boulevard, Kingsmead Office Park, Stalwart Simelane Street, Durban.
  2. The competition forms part of the SPAR Ramadan Lifestyle Expo and is valid for the duration of the Expo weekend only, from 30 January 2026 to 1 February 2026.
  3. To qualify, participants must:
    • Visit the Al Baraka Bank stall (A38) at the Expo; and
    • Successfully open and activate a Vivere account during the Expo weekend, subject to the completion of all applicable onboarding, eligibility, and FICA requirements.
  4. Five (5) winners will be selected by way of a random draw from all qualifying entries received during the competition period. The draw will be conducted in a fair and unbiased manner by Al Baraka Bank Limited or its duly appointed representative.
  5. Each winner will receive R1,000, which will be paid directly into the winner’s active and fully FICA-approved Vivere account within twenty-one (21) business days of winner confirmation.
  6. The total prize value is R5,000.
  7. Winners will be announced on Monday, 2 February 2026, following the Expo.
  8. Should a selected winner not be contactable or fail to respond within five (5) business days of initial contact, Al Baraka Bank Limited reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  9. The prize is not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
  10. Employees of Al Baraka Bank Limited and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the competition.
  11. By entering the competition, participants consent to processing of their personal information for competition administration and reasonable promotional purposes, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 0f 2013 (POPIA), and Al Baraka Bank Limited’s Privacy Policy.
  12. Al Baraka Bank Limited reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition in the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to force majeure events, regulatory changes, or operational disruptions.
  13. Al Baraka Bank Limited shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered as a result of participation in the competition or acceptance of the prize, except where liability cannot be excluded in terms of applicable law.
  14. The competition is open to South African residents only, who are 18 years or older, and who meet all Vivere account eligibility and FICA requirements, including but not limited to:
  • A valid South African identity document,
  • Proof of residential address, and
  • A valid SARS tax number.

  2. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
