Al Baraka Bank believes in providing positive social value to the community, country and the world. We value the environment, all of humanity and the economy that sustains it. We are striving to reduce our carbon footprint, by digitising internal and external paper trails, as well as through our various sustainability initiatives. At Al Baraka Bank, we are persistent in our efforts towards social responsibility, we aim to ameliorate the conditions of the communities within the country through our various Corporate Social Investment initiatives, in four principal sectors: Education, Empowerment, Poverty Alleviation and Healthcare

 Al Baraka Bank established Iqraa Trust in 1994 as a Humanitarian organization and tasked it with the responsibilities of implementing some of its corporate social projects and initiatives.

Iqraa Trust focuses on education, training, skills, development and health care and is active in all provinces of South Africa.

Iqraa Trust helps the needy people without any discrimination.
