BANK ON AL BARAKA COMPETITION

1. PROMOTER

1.1 The promoter of this competition is Al Baraka Bank Limited, a registered bank in the Republic of South Africa (“the Promoter”).

1.2 The competition is conducted via the Promoter’s official Instagram account: @albarakasa.

2. COMPETITION NAME

2.1 The competition is called “Bank on Al Baraka” (“the Competition”).

3. COMPETITION PERIOD

3.1 The Competition will run during March 2026 which is confirmed to be the period from 9 March 2026 to 27 March 2026

3.2 The Competition will run over three (3) consecutive weeks, with one (1) winner selected each week.

3.3 Each weekly competition will:

· Open on Friday at the time the Competition post is published on Instagram.

· Close on Sunday at 23:59 (South African Standard Time).

3.4 No entries received after the closing time will be considered.

3.5 A participant may only win once during the Competition period.

4. ELIGIBILITY

4.1 The Competition is open to:

· Residents of the Republic of South Africa

· Persons aged eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry

4.2 The following persons are not eligible to participate:

· Employees of the Promoter.

· Directors, officers, and contractors of the Promoter

· Immediate family members of employees or directors

· Any person directly involved in the administration of the Competition

5. HOW TO ENTER

5.1 To enter the Competition, participants must:

a) Follow the official Al Baraka Bank Instagram account: @albarakasa b) Correctly answer the Competition question posted on the Promoter’s Instagram page c) Submit their answer by commenting on the Competition post

5.2 Only entries received via Instagram comments on the official Competition post will be considered valid.

5.3 Participants must be following @albarakasa at the time the winner is selected and announced.

5.4 Incomplete, incorrect, or non-compliant entries will be disqualified.

6. PRIZE

6.1 Each weekly winner will receive:

R5,000 (Five Thousand South African Rand)

6.2 The prize will be paid via deposit into an Al Baraka Bank account held in the winner’s name.

6.3 If the winner does not hold an Al Baraka Bank account, the winner will be required to open one, subject to the Promoter’s standard account opening requirements.

6.4 If the winner fails to meet the Promoter’s standard account opening and FICA requirements, the prize shall be forfeited and an alternative winner may be selected at the Promoter’s discretion, acting reasonably and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

6.5 The prize:

· Is not transferable

· Is not exchangeable for cash outside of Al Baraka Bank

· May not be substituted for any other item or alternative prize

· Will only be paid into an Al Baraka account and will not be paid into any other bank account.

7. WINNER SELECTION

7.1 One (1) winner will be selected per weekly Competition.

7.2 At the end of each weekly Competition period, one (1) winner will be selected by means of a random draw from all eligible participants who correctly answered the Competition question.

7.3 The draw will be conducted by the Promoter or its appointed representatives.

7.4 The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. WINNER NOTIFICATION

8.1 The winner will be announced on the Promoter’s official Instagram account (@albarakasa).

8.2 The winner may also be contacted via Instagram direct message.

8.3 The winner must respond within five (5) business days and provide:

· Valid identification

· Any information reasonably required to facilitate prize fulfilment

· Any documentation required to open an account (if applicable)

8.4 Failure to respond within the required timeframe may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternative winner.

9. PRIZE FULFILMENT

9.1 The prize will be deposited into the winner’s Al Baraka Bank account within 7 – 14 business days after verification.

9.2 The Promoter will not be responsible for delays caused by incorrect information or failure to comply with account opening requirements.

10. GENERAL CONDITIONS

10.1 By entering the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

10.2 The Promoter reserves the right to:

· Disqualify any participant who breaches these Terms and Conditions.

· Disqualify entries suspected of fraud, manipulation or misconduct.

· Cancel, suspend, or amend the Competition where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law, and any such changes shall be published on the Promoter’s social media platforms, including its Instagram account.

10.3 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal value if necessary.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

11.1 The Promoter shall not be liable for:

· Any loss, damage, or injury suffered as a result of participation in the Competition or acceptance of the prize

· Any technical failures affecting entry or participation

11.2 Participation in the Competition is at the participant’s own risk.

11.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit, exclude, or restrict any rights that participants may have in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013, or any other applicable legislation. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and applicable law, the applicable law shall prevail.

12. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

12.1 By entering the Competition, participants consent to the Promoter using their name and/or likeness for Competition and promotional purposes.

12.2 Any personal information collected in relation to the Competition will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act No. 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”) and other applicable laws. Such information will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Competition, verifying winners, fulfilling regulatory requirements, and related promotional activities, and will be processed in a lawful and reasonable manner in line with the Promoter’s prevailing privacy policies.

13. INSTAGRAM DISCLAIMER

13.1 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.

13.2 Participants acknowledge that they provide their information to the Promoter and not to Instagram.

14. GOVERNING LAW

14.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and any disputes arising out of or in connection with the competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
